Windows beta
Installing the Vesper beta.
The beta is not code-signed yet; signing starts before the public launch. Until then Windows does not know the file and may warn you. That is expected, and here is how to check the file first.
1. Download only from vesper-ai.us
Use the download button you get after the beta form. Never run a copy from anywhere else.
2. If your browser warns
If the browser says the file is not commonly downloaded, open the downloads list and choose Keep (Edge) or Keep anyway (Chrome).
3. Check the file (one minute)
Open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run:
Get-FileHash .\Vesper*Setup*.exe
The value must be exactly the SHA-256 shown next to your download button. If it is different, do not run the file and tell us at contact@vesper-ai.us.
4. "Windows protected your PC"
Select More info. Check that the app name is the Vesper setup file you downloaded and that the publisher shows "Unknown publisher", which is expected for this beta. Then select Run anyway.
5. "Smart App Control blocked an app"
Some Windows 11 computers have Smart App Control turned on. It blocks programs that are not signed and has no "Run anyway" button. Please do not turn it off for Vesper: write to us, and we will email you when the signed version is ready.
Removing Vesper
Vesper installs only for your Windows user, without administrator rights. Remove it any time in Settings › Apps › Installed apps.
